PhytoVista Laboratories is the UK's premium cannabinoid testing laboratory.
I first teamed up with Sophie, head of digital marketing, and the analytical chemists in 2019. They needed a bespoke lead-gen website and a focused 6-month SEO campaign to promote their analytical testing services. The site had to be practical for both manufacturers and suppliers submitting product samples, and for scientists processing those requests, complete with automated PDF generation for internal workflows ๐.

This was PhytoVista's first website refresh in over three years. I was brought in to modernise the design, improve user experience, and build functionality that reflected the company's true identity.
They wanted the site to serve as both a resource hub for research, articles, and papers, and a lead capture tool with built-in PDF generation for sample testing and new customer enquiries.

I ran a discovery workshop with the PhytoVista team to nail down the target audience, user journeys, and what information mattered most at each stage.
Once the sitemap and content were approved, I moved to wireframes and interactive prototypes, gathering feedback at every step.

The design was crafted to resonate with CBD suppliers and manufacturers while reflecting the scientific precision of PhytoVista's work.
I used clean white backgrounds, black text for readability, and vibrant green call-to-action buttons to draw the eye. A custom sticky bar on both desktop and mobile kept enquiry and testing links visible at all times.
Visual appeal was improved with high-quality lab photography and hemp leaf imagery, tying the site's look to its product testing roots and reinforcing the professional image of the company.
The final design was built into a custom WordPress theme, giving PhytoVista a fast, CBD SEO-friendly, and easily manageable site.

When I came on board, the team had no blog content, which meant zero opportunity to target industry-specific search terms.
